A Christian Manifesto ~ Francis A. Schaeffer                In this explosive book, Dr. Francis A. Schaeffer shows why morality and freedom have started to crumble. It came first in government, in education, in the media ~ and finally it began to shake our families and our own lives. Law and government no longer provide a foundation of justice and morality but have become the means of licensing moral perversions of all kinds. Education has become the enemy of religious truth and values. And the media have provided the means for propagating the change. A Christian Manifesto is literally a call for Christians to change the course of history - by returning to Biblical truth and by allowing Christ to be Lord of all of life. Other books by Dr Schaeffer: The God Who Is There, Escape from Reason, He is There and He is Not Silent, The Mark of the Christian, How Should We Then Live? and Whatever Happened to the Human Race?

A Tale of Three Kings ~ A Study in Brokenness ~ Gene Edwards                                                                                                     All over the world, Christians have taken to heart this simple, powerful and beautiful story based on the Biblical figures of David, Saul and Absalom. This tale, told by one of America's foremost storytellers, has been turned into a play that has been performed by professionals on stage and enacted in simple dramas in churches. Other books by Gene Edwards: "The Divine Romance," "Letters to a Devastated Christian," "The Highest Life" and many others. For more including biography of Edwards, go here.

Addicted to Mediocrity ~ Franky Schaeffer                    In this provocative book, Franky Schaeffer shows how we are flooded with "Christian" doodads that use God's name as an advertising slogan ~ putting the Creator of the universe on the same level as soda pop! Schaeffer shows how Christians who care can begin to reverse the slide toward mediocrity: by demanding excellence in the arts and media, and in all areas of life by giving our time, talents and money to those things which are worthy of our support and are truly honoring to God; by staying away from the cheap, the shoddy, and the make-a-fast-buck mentality. Schaeffer offers an unflinching critique, writing out of his international experience as a film maker and artist.

Count it all Joy ~ Geri G. Cole                                          "Count it all Joy ~ A Devotional for Women" contains fifty-two experiences in the life of this young divorced couple who were determined to follow Jesus. They learned the decision to follow Him meant more than laying hands on the sick or casting out devils. It also included rejection and loneliness. Through every experience, the lesson most prominent was to count it all....joy. "We're Not All Cannibals!" a second book by Geri Cole, is a warning to believers to refrain from biting and devouring one another. Geri is the wife of Dan Cole, pastor of the Church at Spring Hill, host of this site.

[Matt.6:14,15 TLB]  "And I tell you this ~ whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven, and whatever you free on earth will be freed in heaven." Is Capitalism Christian? ~ Edited with an introduction by Franky Schaeffer ~ A frontal assault on Christian radicalism, this book brings together in one volume the West's leading economic, political, and social writers. Although not all are Christians, each writes from within and with profound respect for the Judeo-Christian world view that is America's heritage. The simple premise of this book is that democratic capitalism allows man more freedom to achieve his rightful place in the universe as a creature of dignity made in the image of God than any other socio-economic system.

None of These Diseases ~ S. I. McMillen, M.D.                Medical science estimates that from 60% to nearly 100% of disease today is the result of emotional stress. "God guaranteed a freedom from disease that modern medicine cannot duplicate." ~ S.I. McMillen, M.D.

Peace of Mind ~ Joshua Loth Liebman                               "Peace of mind. This is the gift that God reserves for His special protégés.... Peace of mind ~ that is His final guerdon of approval, the fondest sign of His love. He bestows it charily...." One rabbi sharing with another.

Perfect Everything ~ J. Rufus Mosley                            "To believe in Him and love Him well enough to obey with joy makes us receptive and responsive; and full receptivity and response enable Him to take full, free, and glorious possession and to make the best uses of us. This is called the sealing and the baptism and the gift of the Holy Spirit......"

Power From On High ~ Charles G. Finney             Charles G. Finney was born in 1792 in Connecticut. He was well educated and began the study of law at the age of twenty-six. It was at this time his spiritual experience began. It was three years later, in the autumn of 1812, that the crisis came. Through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ he entered into peace with God, and that evening he received a mighty Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Restoring the Early Church ~ Mike & Sue Dowgiewicz                                                                            Loneliness. Divorce. Boredom. Frustration with life. Risky Living - Keys to Inner Healing ~ Jamie Buckingham                                                                                 Why do you invariably get a headache in certain situations? The Blood of the Cross ~ Andrew Murray                                                                                                                                                                                                          A brilliantly researched, spiritually moving study of the power of the blood of Jesus Christ, the deepest mystery of redemption. Convinced that Christians can never know too much about the truths which the blood proclaims, the author asserts there can be no freedom of approach to God, nor fellowship with Him, apart from the truly vital and powerful experience of the efficacy of the blood of Christ, and skillfully leads the reader to a full awareness of what the blood actually signifies. Other books: "The Full Blessing of Pentecost," "Humility" and "The Prayer Life."

The Calvary Road ~ Roy Hession                                           "A word about the necessary attitude of heart for the reader. If God is to bless him at all through these pages, he must come to them with a deep hunger of heart. He must be possessed with a dissatisfaction of the state of the church in general and of himself in particular - especially of himself. He must be willing for God to begin His work in himself first, rather than in the other man. He must, moreover, be possessed with the holy expectancy that God can and will his need." - Roy Hession

The Celebration of Discipline ~ Richard J. Foster   This is surely one of the most read and studied books in our personal library. Foster has captured "the path of spiritual growth" by "combining real originality with intellectual integrity." He describes the understanding of spiritual disciplines as the door to liberation and separates them as "the inward disciplines [meditation, prayer, fasting and study], the outward disciplines [simplicity, solitude, submission, and service] and the corporate disciplines [confession, worship, guidance and celebration.]" An excellent study.

The Diakonate ~ Servant-Leaders ~ Dale Rumble     For centuries, Christians ~ and Church leaders ~ have largely departed from the pattern and plan of God in building His Church. As a result, the work of God has gone unfinished...and the overall plan of God has not been fully realized. Dale has for years been engaged in training men for ministry in planting and overseeing churches in the northeastern United States and Canada. Other of his books include "Crucible of the Future" and  "Prepared for His Glory." Click here for more.

The Marriage Covenant ~ Derek Prince                                   Is there a secret to a successful marriage? His other books include: "The Baptism in the Holy Spirit," "Praying for the Government," "God is a Matchmaker" and "Restoration by Fasting."

The Light and the Glory ~ Peter Marshall, David Manuel ~ Did God have a plan for America? Did Columbus believe that God called him west to undiscovered lands? Does American democracy owe its inception to the handful of Pilgrims that settled at Plymouth? If, indeed, there was a specific, divine call upon this nation, is it still valid today? The Radical Christian ~ Arthur Wallis                             To be a Christian in the New Testament sense is to be radical in every sense. Among his best-selling books are "God's Chosen Fast" and "Pray in the Spirit."

The Second American Revolution ~ John W. Whitehead ~ "If there is still an entity known as "the Christian church" by the end of this century (1999), operating with any semblance of liberty within our society here in the United States, it will probably have John Whitehead and his book to thank." [Francis Schaeffer] "Whitehead, through diligent research, argues that the United States was founded on principles drawn from the Christian faith, and that without these principles, the governmental system makes no sense."  [Christianity Today] John Whitehead is recognized as one of America's top constitutional attorneys, specializing in religious freedom.

The Two Kinds of Knowledge ~ E.W. Kenyon                 All the knowledge that is taught in our schools, colleges and universities has been gained through our five senses. Geri's third book is a declaration of God's approval of the marriage bed. Opening with graphically explicit descriptions of lovemaking as described in the Word of God, the covenant relationship is explored from God's perspective. Hints of amorous touching and waves of sexual fervor emerge unexpectantly throughout the powerful text. This refreshing and delightfully written study is sure to set God's people free to enjoy His Gift.

There Were Two Trees in the Garden ~ Rick Joyner                                                                                                                   The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and the Tree of Life represent the fundamental conflict between the kingdom of this world and the kingdom of God.  If you have struggled to understand the difference between flesh and spirit...If you have been confused by divisions within the Body of Christ.. If you battle the fear of rejection and desire to know the love of God....If you are seeking a clear and Biblical understanding of spiritual authority....If you are committed to overcoming sin and glorifying the Lord with your life...YOU WILL BE HELPED BY THIS BOOK.

They Speak With Other Tongues ~ John Sherrill    "Speaking with Tongues" What is it? This is exactly what John Sherrill set out to discover. A skeptic where miracles were claimed, he had to be shown. Tramp for the Lord ~ Corrie Ten Boom with Jamie Buckingham                                                                                                       Self styled "tramp for the Lord," her bags were packed and she was always ready to leave on still another journey for the Lord.
