Statement of Faith

For further understanding, see Teachings

1.. We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative source of Christian doctrine and precept, accepting it as our guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. [II Tim.3:15-17]

2.  We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Ghost. [Matt.28:19]

3.  We believe that man was created in the image of God, but as a result of sin, is lost and powerless to save himself.  [Romans 6:23]

4.  We believe the only hope for man is to repent from sin and believe in Jesus Christ, the virgin-born Son of God, Who died to take upon Himself the punishment for the sin of mankind and Who rose from the dead so that by receiving Him as Lord, man is redeemed by His Blood. [John 1:12,13; Romans 10:9-13]

5.  We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells those who have received Christ for the purpose of enabling them to live righteous and godly lives. [I Cor.5:5; Romans 8:8,9;Ephesians 1:13]

6.  We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as a separate experience following salvation, empowering the believer to become effective witnesses, through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the fruit of the Holy Spirit and the joy of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the manifestation of the gifts including tongues, and are open to their use as the Holy Spirit chooses in the midst of our congregational services as well as in individual ministry. [Acts 2, Acts 10,11, 19; Romans 8:26-28; I Cor.12-14; Ephesians 6, Jude 20] For further explanation go here.

7.  We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all those who through belief in Christ have been born again. The mission of the Church is worldwide evangelism on the one hand and the nurture, healing and discipling of believers on the other.

8.  Water baptism and communion are ordinances to be observed by those who have received Jesus Christ as Savior. We believe in baptism by immersion [Matthew 3:10, Mark 1:10, Acts 8:26-40].

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it."  [John 3:16,17]
